Intermitting Glare – 2014

At its root Intermitting Glare is a body of new work exploring a collapse of meaning and perspective. Installed in and around the altered gallery space, a combination of screens and a projection displayed several new moving image works. Each synced and overlapping they physically break-up and refract the real space of the gallery whilst fragmented content disrupted the viewer’s experience within, and outside, of the frame. Intermitting Glare imagines the screen as a body of water or a transparent plane; the horizon unfixed, undetectable and infinite with the viewer accordingly disorientated, floating, disarticulated. Questioning the screen as a material boundary Intermitting Glare attempts to dissolve body and image together.
